Liverpool legend Ian Rush has urged fans not to rush to judge Dutch head coach Arne Slot based on his pre-season performances, as it is the team’s preparation period.

Arne Slot’s confirmation as Liverpool’s new manager is being delayed due to complications surrounding Euro 2024. The Dutchman has disclosed that his agreement to take over from Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season is nearly finalised, following a series of positive discussions with Liverpool’s new decision-maker, Michael Edwards.

“We’ll see when we play Ipswich Town in the first game of the season,” the former Reds striker concluded.
For the 45-year-old, Slot just started his first pre-season game as Liverpool lost 0-1 to Preston North End.
